Contribution from the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labor and Local Government: Today, the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labor and Local Government held its annual Stakeholder Recognition Awards Ceremony. The ceremony recognizes stakeholders for their significant contributions to the ministry’s mission to serve the people of Belize. Their collaboration has a substantial impact on the successful implementation of ministry programs and projects.
The recipients are the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for their contributions to the digitization of the Department of Labor’s service system; the Ministry of the Attorney General for their contributions to the ministry’s policy and legal reform agenda; and the National Drinking Water Quality Laboratory, Environmental Unit, Ministry of Health and Welfare, for their contribution to the health and safety of rural water supply systems.
The awards were presented to Ms. Diana Locke, Country Representative, IOM; Mr. Randall Sheppard, Deputy Solicitor General, Ministry of the Attorney General; and Mr. John Bodden, Senior Public Health Inspector, Department of Health and Wellness.
Present at the ceremony were Mr. Valentino Shal, Director General of the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labor and Local Government; Mr. Clifford King, Director of Local Government; Ms. Elsa Cardinez, Coordinator for Rural Development; and Mr. Domingo Pau, labor officer.
The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labor and Local Government congratulates all recipients and thanks them each for their continued support.
