COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Community Development Committee (CD Committee) announces a 30-day public comment period on the following amendment to the 2019 Annual Action Plan of the 2015-2019 Consolidated Plan : substantial amendment to the 2019 annual action plan Annual action plan The substantial amendment is that the city of Duluth will reduce the total amount of the specialized improvement project / reduction of the burn of the action plan of the fiscal year 2019 from $100,000 to $16,273.26. The remaining $83,726.74 will be reprogrammed into the FY 2021 Action Plan Acquisition Demolition Program Project. This reprogramming is intended to consolidate efforts for increased burn removal at a faster pace. There is a 30-day public comment period for the substantive amendment and funding recommendation from February 19, 2022 through March 22, 2022. All comments will be shared with the CD Committee A virtual public hearing via WebEx will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. by the Community Development Committee. The Community Development Committee will hold its meeting by other electronic means pursuant to Section 13D.021 of the Minnesota Statutes in Response to the COVID-19 Emergency. Some Committee members will participate by videoconference. Due to the COVID-19 emergency and the closure of City facilities, comments from the public will not be taken in person. However, members of the public can monitor the meeting and provide public feedback on agenda items through WebEx Events. Visit https://duluthmn.gov/live-meeting to access the meeting. The public is also encouraged to submit written comments to Suzanne Kelley prior to the meeting.
