Family Initiative Hires Fecteau as Community Engagement Specialist | News, Sports, Jobs


Rachel Fecteau joined Family Initiative Inc. as a community engagement specialist working alongside co-founders David Brown and Anjali Van Drie to promote compassionate care and support for children and families living with autism spectrum disorder through the through community sensitization and sensitization.

In this role, Fecteau will oversee community education and outreach to raise awareness of Family Initiative programs, manage the nonprofit’s volunteer efforts, and work with regional and program leaders to make advancing community engagement.

Fecteau previously worked as a telecommunications specialist with the Conway Police Department in New Hampshire for more than 16 years. In this capacity, she led local community outreach programs, managed data entry for the New Hampshire State Police and the National Crime Information Center, and prioritized emergency call response. for police, fire and rescue services.

Fecteau earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from New England College in New Hampshire.

Founded in 2015, Family Initiative Inc. is a Florida-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to supporting children with autism and strengthening their families. Its team of clinicians serves children from a compassionate, personalized approach through applied behavior analysis and occupational therapy services, and offers autism playgroups, teen meetings, parent education , community conversations and more.
