Clark County Director Kathleen Otto this week appointed April Furth as director of the county’s community development department. The appointment is effective Tuesday, November 16.
Furth was hired by the county in February 2021 to lead the Permit Center in Community Development. She has over 17 years of retail management experience, including as Regional Director of Merchandising, Store Manager and Vice President.
During Furth’s tenure in Clark County, she worked with permit center staff to reduce permit intake times and improve overall customer service.
âApril has been instrumental in working with her team, external partners and the general public to develop respectful and productive working relationships and streamlined services,â said Otto. âHis commitment to the Clark County team didn’t just provide an opportunity for collaboration; he fostered an environment focused on customer service.
