Urban Underground announced that DoorDash, the leading last mile logistics company, has donated $ 25,000 to the organization to support District 4 initiatives of school board director Aisha Carr focused on increasing parent and community engagement efforts at Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS).

“We are incredibly touched by the support of DoorDash through the support in Milwaukee. District 4 is the largest of MPS’s eight districts, with thirty-six schools and an enrollment of over 14,000 students, some of which serve Urban Underground. It was a natural fit to partner with Director Carr who supports a neighborhood with one of the greatest needs, ”said Sharlen Moore, Urban Underground.

“As a proud and unapologetic representative of the children, families and communities residing in School District 4, I am incredibly excited and extremely grateful to be the recipient of DoorDash’s $ 25,000 Urban Underground donation to support our efforts to recruit and involve children and families in ZIP code 53206. With this generous and thoughtful contribution, I hope that local, state-wide and national partners will join District 4’s efforts to support poor but deserving communities.
