BestCities Appoints New Director, Business Development and Community Engagement

BestCities Global Alliance has announced meetings industry veteran Tia Daniels (pictured) as its new Director of Business Development and Community Engagement.

Daniels brings more than 25 years of experience in the meetings industry to this position, with many of his previous positions serving in the United States and Denmark. His most recent roles include Director of Sales and Marketing at Konventum Hotel and Conference Center and Senior Director of International Sales, Conventions and Events at Bella Center in Copenhagen. She has also worked for MCI Copenhagen, where she led the COP15 Hotel & Guest Relations team at one of the largest conferences in the city’s history with over 30,000 delegates in attendance.

While in Houston (1995–2008), Daniels worked at the Hilton Houston Post Oak and the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, in roles such as Manager of Convention Services and Manager of Sales and Corporate Services.

Daniels has also remained active in the MPI and PCMA communities.

In her new role for BestCities, she will focus on helping partners and customers develop experiences that leave a positive and lasting legacy in the world, while raising BestCities’ profile in the corporate and incentive market. She will also drive the momentum of BestCities’ legacy commitments by working collaboratively with members and supporting key initiatives such as the Madrid Challenge, the Copenhagen Legacy Lab and the Incredible Impacts program.
